FURTHER ADVENTURES Has arrived A Studio Built to Take Bold Stories Further
Steve Beckman and Ben Stillman, Co-Founders & Co-CEOs
We started Further Adventures with a simple belief: there are visionary storytellers out there—filmmakers, creators, artists—who just need the right support at the right moment to turn a compelling idea into the next chapter of their creative journey.
Today, we’re excited to share what we’ve been building.
Further Adventures is a new studio backing original voices across film, digital, and emerging formats. We partner with storytellers who’ve already proven there’s something special in who they are and what they’re making—whether it’s through a breakout short, a festival standout, a powerful new concept, or a beloved YouTube channel ready to evolve. From there, we help them go further with development resources, production support, investment capital, and strategic expertise built for today’s audience landscape.
The company was founded by Steve Beckman, a longtime YouTube executive behind some of the platform’s most successful global creator initiatives, and Ben Stillman, a producer behind films including The Imitation Game and I Care A Lot. Together, we’re rethinking what it means to help ideas scale at a time when storytellers are building global audiences on their own terms–and proven audience interest has become the new IP.
WHY NOW
The launch comes at a time when the traditional path for storytelling is narrowing. Fewer studios are greenlighting original IP, investing in independent films, or backing emerging filmmakers on their first features. Further Adventures fills that gap and paves new lanes—partnering with innovative creatives, enabling them to realize their projects efficiently and activate digital fandoms along the way.
On the creator side, there’s growing demand for digital storytellers to expand into new formats—especially among those with highly engaged communities eager to support their evolution. What they need is support: production resources, development guidance, and the right strategy to step into elevated and feature-length work. With YouTube now the most-watched platform on connected TVs, those passionate audiences are already there, waiting.
WHO WE’RE WORKING WITH
We’re already collaborating with Sundance-winning filmmakers, Black List writers, and creators with global followings—like Andrew Rea (aka Binging with Babish), who’s developing his first feature film, Old Soul, a metaphysical action-thriller.. Our slate also includes projects from Walter Thompson-Hernández, whose short If I Go Will They Miss Me won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize and is now being adapted into a feature with Further Adventures, and Ramzi Bashour, a Sundance Labs alum making his feature debut. We’re also investing in rising brands like Good Good Golf as they expand into longer-form storytelling.
Our broader development slate spans more than ten features, including viral adaptations, original scripts, and new work from voices like Max and Sam Eggers, Beth de Araujo, Robert Machoian, Alan Scott Neal, and Shatara Michelle Ford. Across genres and formats, we’re focused on championing bold ideas and giving them the fuel to grow—whether they originate on set, on screen, or on the internet.
LET’S TAKE IT FURTHER
Further Adventures isn’t just about projects—it’s about people. We’re here to back storytellers who are ready to take risks, evolve creatively, and build something lasting. Whether you're a filmmaker ready to scale your first feature or a creator stepping into longform for the first time, we’re here to help you build on what you’ve started—and take it further.
